Beijing Huaibei International Ski Resort is both the largest and the most beautiful ski resort in Beijing. It is located in the north of Huairou District, about 85km north of Beijing city center. With an area of 9.6 sq km, the ski is perched below the picturesque Ming-era Great Wall with 23 watch towers linked to the Mutianyu Great Wall, the only ski resort in Beijing surrounded by the Great Wall on its three sides.

　　The construction of Huaibei Ski Resort began in 2000, which was one of the oldest ski resorts in Beijing. 　　The ski trails in Huaibei International Ski Resort consist of one “magic carpet”, three chairlifts (the only ski resort where there is a chairlift for the beginners’ trail), four drag lifts, and eight trails (one advanced trail, three intermediate trails, and four beginner trails). Also, there is a ski park. The length of the trails is 4,600 meters in total with a drop elevation of 238 meters.
