Gubei Water Town is located at Gubeikou in Beijing's suburban Miyun district,at the foot of the Simatai Great Wall.With a history of more than a thousand years,the water town,which covers an area of nine square kilometers,has been revitalized with new attractions.
Gubei Water Town Scenic Area is divided into 2 sections:Gubei Water Town and Simatai Great Wall. Simatai Great Wall was closed for renovation since June 2010.These 2 sections reopen to receive visitors on January,2014.
In the town center,an ancient stage comes to life with regular performances with traditional features.There are 2 hotels and 4 guesthouses for those who want to stay and experience the town's night views.The water town,built on the site of five sub-villages of Simatai village,consists of six areas including Minguo Street and the water street area.
The water street area is one of the town's highlights and vividly brings to life the watertowns of Jiangnan by reproducing winding rivers,waterfront houses,arched stonebridges,cobblestone and stone slab paths,old buildings and folk culture.
As part of the Scenic Area, the Simatai Great Wall has reopened to the public after more than three years'closure.This section of the Great Wall is one of the best-protected parts which keep the original features of the Ming dynasty'Great Wall.
This place of interest is established based on five original villages,430,000 square meters of which are courtyards with an elegant style of the Republic of China. Spots open to the public include the blocks of the Republic of China,the Water Street,Wolongbao Folk Culture Area,Tanghe Old Village Area and Accommodation Area andso on. Gubei Water Town is the best place to appreciate the best preserved SimataiGreat Wall and experience folk culture at the foot of the Great Wall.
The Simatai Great Wall lies beside Gubeikou Town, in the northeast of Miyun County about 75 miles from Beijing. It stretches about three miles from the Wangjing Tower in the east to Chuanhoukou in the west. The wall is celebrated for its steepness, queerness and intactness.
Constructed under the supervision of Qi Jiguang, a famous general in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), it is the only part that still has the original appearance of the Ming Dynasty.
This section has 34 beacon towers, with 18 in the western part and 16 in the eastern part. The two parts are divided by a lake, named the Mandarin Duck Lake. Even in winter, the surface of the lake will never ice up. Based on this lake, the Gubei Water Town is built underneath the wall, so travelers can experience the beauty of water town and appreciate here the grand Great Wall at the same time.

1. You should apply for a transit VISA after you landed at the airport.

If your flight is canceled or delayed and you inform us at least 4 hours in advance before the scheduled pick-up time, there is no cancellation fee.
If you are not able to get out of the airport for some reasons, we will refund the money to you (Excluding driver and guide airport transfer charges)
Beijing Layover Group Tour
If you cancel at least 3 days in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee.
If you cancel within 24 hours before the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.
