Introduction 

One of the most bustling business streets in Chengdu built in 1924 and is made up of four main pedestrian streets; Chunxi North Road, Chunxi South Road, Chunxi East Road and Chunxi West Road. Chunxi road is in Jinjiang District covering at least 200,000 square meters. It stretches to the east of Beixin Street, the west of Hongxing Road, the south of Zongfu Road, and the north of East Street. It is a meeting point for delicious snacks from different parts of the country and also a perfect spot to people watch with hundreds of people moving up and down the street.

Sightsee

Situated at the north end of Chunxi Road are bronze statues which have symbolic meanings. For instance, the one of a modern city girl and an old man dressed in ancient garments with a city stone clock between them represents the change in times due to developments from old to new.

Another symbolic figure is the granite wall carved with relief sculptures presenting the eight different stages of Chengdu in the Tang Dynasty

Just infront of the wall stands another collection of colorful statues representing visitors and tourists from different walks of life.

Chunxi Road is a shopping paradise with both high end international brands and cheap local brands based in Parskon shopping center, Pacific Sogo Department Store, Ito-Yokado, Wangfujing Department Store, Novo Department Store, Crown Plaza Chengdu and Isetan Shopping Mall all which can cover all your shopping needs.

Feast

In addition to all the eateries available on this street there are also traditional Chengdu snacks such as Lai Tangyuan (rice balls with fillings), Zhong Dumplings, Korean dumplings, rice dumpling with sesame sauce, Han Baozi (steamed buns with stuffing), wonton soup, pork lungs served in chili sauce, wonton soup, a wide selection of barbecues amongst other snacks that will leave your appetite full to the brim.
