Giant Panda Dujiangyan Base, also called China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda Dujiangyan Base, locates in Yuntang county, Dujiangyan city, around 50 kilometers from Chengdu. The base concentrates to research and preserve the giant pandas. It was planned to invest 4,600 million dollars to build a wild environment for rising giant pandas. Pandas will live in shed temporarily and start adapting to living in the wilderness. There are six functional area: scientific research education area, quarantine and rescue area, wild reproduction and breeding area, wild transit, release experimental area and supporting service area. It's an international eco-protection demonstration are integrating panda resources, scientific research, education and tourism development. Many visitors flooded into the base to see the cute and adorable pandas.

In the beginning, the center transferred six pandas to have the test for sending them back to the wildness. One of panda called Gongzai which is the prototype of the movie "Kung Fu Panda 2". 

Volunteer Program 

Dujiangyan Panda Valley offers the volunteer program to feed, prepare cakes for pandas, clean their sheds under the guidance of professional feeder. After that, you'll watch many funny videos when pandas are playing, sleeping or eating. Besides, you'll obtain the certificate for caring the pandas.
