Welcome to mountain city-Chongqing!

Your ebullient tour guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel in the morning, then head to the Ciqikou Old Town, the hot spot to experience the local culture. Walking around the stone-paved street, you can taste various local snacks, view beautiful souvenirs selling in the shop, feel the vibrant life in Chongqing. After visiting, make a short stop at Liziba Subway Station where you will see the metro pass through the high building, experience amazing 3D transportation that exits in Chongqing only. Afterwards, transfer to the Three Gorges Museum, enjoy the beautiful porcelain, paintings and ancient coins etc, pay attention to the historical relics about the Yangtze River and Three Gorges. Later, be transfer to Hongya Cave, all the traditional Diaojiaolou buildings shine warm yellow light in the evening, looks fantastic and breathtaking. Take a leisurely walk around the street and explore delicacy. At last, be transferred to the hotel for rest.

Chongqing hotpot was first eaten by poor boatmen of the Jialing river in Chongqing area and then spread westwards to the rest of Sichuan Province.Chongqing Hot pot use pot as tool,use water or soup to transfer heat and boil food.Its characteristic is eat while cooking.

　　There are many kinds of hot pot materials,the dishes develop to hundreds of species,including all edible things of the food kingdom.The dishes have been expanded to poultry, aquatic products, seafood, animal viscus, all kinds of vegetables,mushroom and so on.People gather around a small pot filled with flavorful and nutritious soup base. You have a choice of spicy, pure or mixed for the soup. There are a great variety of hot pots, including Yuanyang hot pot, four tastes hot pot,tonic hot pot, entire sheep hot pot and so on.There is also western hot pot specially for foreigners.Chongqing hotpot is characterized by its spiciness.As long as you can stand the spiciness, you are advised to try the spiciest one to ensure an authentic experience.

　　Chaotianmen wharf was the place where the cattle were slaughtered by Hui people.The Hui people only need the meat,bone and skin of the cattle.They threw away the viscus of cattle and the seaman and trackers picked it up.The seaman and trackers washed it and put it into the pot,added some condiments like pepper,ginger, garlic and salt,boiled it and ate it.The first is to fill the stomach,the second is to drive cold and damp.From then on,it became the first and the most popular hot pot spicy Tripe Hot pot.

Yes everything was spectacular and fascinating very professional and prompt services. There were beautiful places to explore and to see in the 4 hours that we had. The comfort and beauty of the China was incredible, The history, culture and way of life of the local people we bumped into during the layover was beyond our expectations. Hiking on the Great wall after driving through a small remote countryside was very relaxing and rejuvenating. It was the best trip ever to experience on a few hours.

We had not previously used a travel agency for touring. The crew including the driver and tour guide were really funny, friendly and knowledgeable. Despite having limited time we still had free time allowing for shopping and grabbing a meal and drinks. Highly recommend this layover in Beijing.

Well worth it! Jenny was really nice and incredibly helpful with the immigration process after airport personnel originally escorted to the wrong area and didn’t want to allow leaving the airport. She takes great photos! Beautiful views and fun to take the toboggan down. Wasn’t too crowded on this day - and definitely worth doing with a 7 hour layover. Nice car and driver too.

He speaks good English and very patient. He knows his stuff. I visited West Lake , Buddhist temple and the Pagoda.
