Day 1 Arrival in Dunhuang
Airport-hotel Transfer
Upon arrival in Dunhuang, the friendly tour guide and driver pick you up from the airport or railway station in Dunhuang then escort you to the hotel for check-in. Spend the rest of the time relaxing or strolling in the city by yourself.
Recommend activity: Visit Dunhuang Museum and enjoy local delicious food at Shazhou Night Market.

Day 2 Dunhuang
Mogao Grottoes, Folk Culture Museum, Singing Sand Dune and Crescent Lake
Starting from an early morning pick up by the driver and tour guide, head to the Mogao Grottoes; famous for its fabulous frescos and statues. Later got to Folk Culture Museum which is considered the great treasure that exhibits unique folk customs in northwest China. Afterwards, visit the Singing Sand Dune where you can have an interesting camel-ride along the sand dunes to reach the Crescent Lake at your cost. Get jaw-dropping views of the cozily nestled amongst huge sand dunes in the shape of a crescent moon, bound by an oasis of pagodas and frequently attacked by, the lake water has kept clear over hundreds of thousands of years. At visiting, return to the hotel.

Day 3 Dunhuang-Lanzhou by Train
Yumen Pass, Great Wall of Han Dynasty, Yadan National Geological Park, Dunhuang Yangguan Pass
After breakfast, you will have a brief visit to the ancient military station Yumen Pass and the Great Wall of Han Dynasty, learn ancient Chinese history from your knowledgeable tour guide then continue enjoying the beautiful Gobi desert when driving to Yadan National Geological Park(2.5 hours). Upon arrival, taste delicious lunch at a local food market. When you entering inside of the park, you might feel like traveling to the architectural art museum, and you'll fully be astonished by geological remains formed by wind erosion, use your imagination and recognize which animal or building it looks like. On the way back to Dunhuang, enjoy the beautiful sunset at Yangguan Pass which is another famous relic site praised by many well-known poets. At last, you are sent back to the railway station and sleep on a soft train bed to Lanzhou.

Day 4 Lanzhou
Gansu Provincial Museum, Yellow River Mother Sculpture, Waterwheel Park, Yellow River Iron Bridge, White Pagoda Mountain
The driver and tour guide will pick you up from the railway station in the morning. Then take you to visit Gansu Provincial Museum which has variously painted potteries and ancient grottoes. Uncover the mystery of the galloping horse that was believed to be very fast that it could actually fly in the sky and even higher than a swallow. Then take a short visit to Yellow River Mother Sculpture-the landmark of Lanzhou, and transfer to Lanzhou Waterwheel Park which is the oldest irrigation tool along the Yellow River in ancient times. After lunch, cross Yellow River Iron Bridge and take beautiful pictures there. Afterward, head to White Pagoda Mountain, there are many palatial buildings in the mountains. Hike or take the optional cable car up to the top and enjoy a panoramic view of the whole city and rolling Yellow River.

Day 5 Lanzhou-Xiahe County by Private Vehicle
Bingling Temple Grottoes
Get up early and head to Bingling Temple Grottoes(3h), an important Buddhist site dating back to the 5th century. Upon arrival, enjoy local delicious lunch then cross the Yellow River by boat, immerse yourself at this earliest inscription of annals showing the diverse influence of different Buddhist branches, appreciate amazing statues and frescos there. Take the speed boat back and enjoy 3.5 hours of scenic drive to Xiahe county. Check in the local hotel and have a rest.

Day 6 Xiahe County-Lanzhou by Private Vehicle
Labrang Monastery, Sangke Grassland
The first stop for today is Labrang Monastery, one of the six largest religious temples of the Gelug Sect of China's Lamaism. Get lost in this propitious place in the hearts of the Tibetan as you see thousands of Buddha statues made by gold, silver, copper and aluminum. In the afternoon, visit a local Tibetan family to learn more about Tibet culture and life then enjoy a delicious lunch. Later, enjoy the vast area of Sangke Grassland, take some beautiful pictures there. At last, drive around 3 hours back to Lanzhou hotel.
