Introduction

Situated at the CBD of Zhujiang New Town, this is the biggest city square covering a total of 560000 square meters in total. The square was first opened to the public in 2010 right before the beginning of the 2010 Guangzhou Asian games. In addition to this, the square has a completely fascinating green scenery in the midst of exquisite skyscrapers, a charming lake at the center, relaxing musical fountains and colorful neon lights under the night skyline.

There are 39 architectural buildings like the Guangzhou Opera House, the Guangzhou No. 2 Children’s Palace, Guangzhou New Museum and Guangzhou International Financing Center etc. It’s a skyscraper area that boasts three city landmarks like the East Tower, West Tower and the Canton Tower as well as five star hotels and office buildings.

Underneath the square is an area of 150,000 square meters covered by an underground shopping mall known as the “Mall of the World” being operated by a Hong Kong architectural group called Lan Kwai Fong.

Guangdong New Museum- an exhibition with real unearthed cultural relics that is divided into 5 exhibit halls.

Guangzhou Opera House- A unique geometric Opera House with a 36400 square meters grand theater, underground garage, multi-functional hall amongst other facilitates.

Guangzhou International Financing Center- a new landmark in the city divided into hotels, offices, recreation facilities and entertainment spots.

Guangzhou No.2 Children’s Palace- covering an area of 16530 square meters, this palace is a heaven of fun for kids and is made up of educational rooms like computer rooms, calligraphy rooms, art rooms, dancing rooms, and singing rooms.

Mall of the World- Below Huacheng Square lies a 150000 square meter underground shopping mall.
