Introduction 

This street is located in Liwan District with its main section stretching through Xia Jui road, Shangjiu road and Dishifu road covering a distance of at least 800 meters. The Pedestrian street houses hundreds of shops including magnificent malls and numerous restaurants. It was first opened for business in 1995 as the first commercial pedestrian street in the city. Most of the shopping stores here take the Qilou building design structure originally from South of China's construction unique to make the open-air market waterproof even when it rains. It has notable characteristics of European and Chinese architecture of Lingnan and Xiguan descent in the midst of a thriving commercial environment

The architecture here is to live for showcasing traditional Cantonese architecture that is beautifully lit up under the night sky of Xiguan and Lingnan descent. This street is ideal for relaxing and people watching with numerous bronze statues depicting plaque characteristics dotting the street and attracting locals for photo opportunities.
