Ngong Ping is a highland in the western part of Lantau Island  Hong Kong  There are Po Lin Monastery and 34-m tall Tian Tan Buddha in the hills. It is now the terminal stop of the cable car ride Ngong Ping 360 which travels to Tung Chung . There are new facilities and tourist attractions opened including the Ngong Ping Village,walking with the Buddha, the Monkey's Tale Theater and Ngong Ping Tea House.

　　There was originally only Po Lin Monastery in Ngong Ping and quite peaceful. But with the Tian Tan Big Buddha, the biggest bronze sitting Buddha was completed in 1993, since then, there are more and more visitors. Because there are too many visitors, the MTR Corporation had run a cable car completed in August 2005. A theme village was built at Ngong Ping along a 'tourist corridor'. There are 6,000 square meters of shopping space and an 18,600-square-metre piazza between the cable car terminal and the Po Lin Monastery. A 5.5km cable car line link it to Tung Chung Station,in the vicinity of Hong Kong International Airport.

　　Sitting in the cable car Ngong Ping 360 in 25 minutes, visitors can have a panoramic view on the southern sea, parks nearby, downtown areas and adjacent mountains. including HK international airport, the Tian Tan Big Buddha and Ngong Ping. When the cable car Ngong Ping 360 arrives terminal, visitors can see the Tian Tan Big Buddha in the near distance. By walking, visitors can enter Ngong Ping Village and only takes 5 minutes for arriving Tian Tan Big Buddha.

　　Ngong Ping Village is near the cable car Ngong Ping 360  terminal and the Tian Tan Big Buddha. Ngong Ping Village covers an area over 1.5 acres. The building and landscape fully feature the culture and spiritual ambiance of Ngong Ping. There are many shops, entertainments and restaurants in the village. There are many performances too including Chinese Kongfu, acrobatics and so on. There are Buddhas which you can seek blessing from.
