Introduction

Located in Pudong area in Chuansha New Town about a 35 minute ride inland from the famous Pudong skyline this heaven covers an interesting 963 acres and is eleven times the size of the original Disneyland in California. It was established on June 16th 2016 and is owned by the Walt Disney Company and the Shanghai Shendi Group. It is home to thrilling activities, live stage performances and a host to Disney characters like Jack Sparrow, Disney princesses, Winnie the Pooh, Baymax, Mickey Mouse and Mulan.

Tron Lightcycle Power Run

Riding at a treacherous 97 Km/h speed this illuminated ride is what every rollercoaster fan lives for. One minute you are inside, the next you are outside, then again major flips up and down in a perfect backdrop of neon lights.

Alice in wonderland maze

Another favorite stop among locals to take out of this world selfies and pictures is here at the maze. The arrangement is as colorful as it can get with tonnes of surprises at every turn. A cat can appear out of the blues to startle you to your wits. In addition to this there is also a mad tea party full  of interactive treats and teapots creating the best photo moments ever.

Enchanted Storybook Castle

A storybook castle put into reality and is home to a showroom for a variety of tales like the Once Upon a Time Adventure where you can interact with characters and performances, be part of a character meet and greet section, take a walk through for the famous snowwhite story in addition to this there are restaurants like the Royal Banquet offering full character meals in a three course menu where you can meet disney characters as you chow down your meals.

Roaring mountain

Set up in the exact spot where tomorrowland would be located, this challenge trail is something to look forward to. Gear up in safety harnesses and go through three obstacle courses through cliffs, waterfalls, caverns and on the thrilling roaring rapids looking like Orlando’s river rapids with horrendous animatronic sound effects and surprise dangling crocodile jaws snapping out of the blues.

Treasure cove

Not found in any other Disneyland, the treasure cove is a full sized themed port with two surreal docked ships purely based on movies such as pirates of the Caribbean with real illusions, real boat movements and complimentary scenes that are deep in detail and charm
