Day 1 Arrival in Chengdu
Airport-hotel Transfer, Sichuan Opera Show
Tour guide and driver pick you up from Chengdu Airport. You are sent back hotel for checking in. You are free at leisure time by your own. You can walk around the hotel to experience the local life and sample decious snack. In the evening, you'll watch a Sichuan Opera Show. The Sichuan Opera is an important part of Chengdu culture. Besides the normal singing, and martial arts, you can appreciate fire breathing, changing faces, and juggling pottery. When enjoying the performance, you will amaze at different facial make-ups that are changed fast and mysteriously. The tour ends from sending you back to hotel.

Day 2 Chengdu
Jinli Ancient Street, Wuhou Temple, Wenshu Temple, Du Fu Thatched Cottage
Tour guide and driver pick you up from the hotel in the morning. You feel relax for exploring Jinli Ancient Street for the local tea house, nightlife, art crafts and snacks. In the traditional atmosphere, you will enjoy the delicious Sichuan food and snacks and learn the local remarkable folk culture. Then, you head for Wuhou Temple. You may stroll around the peaceful and attractive gardens, and visit several halls for the famous marquis in three Kingdom. After lunch, you go for the Wenshu Monastery which is the best-preserved Buddhist temple in Chengdu. The last scenic spot is Du Fu Thatched Cottage, where you can enjoy fine Chinese calligraphy and know more about Chinese literature. The tour ends from sending you back to the hotel.

Day 3 Chengdu-Leshan by Bus
Leshan Giant Buddha, Mount Emei
Tour guide and driver pick you up from the hotel in the morning. You are driven to Leshan to visit the spectacular Leshan Giant Buddha, which is the largest Buddha statue in the world and was listed by as the World Heritage sites. You will catch a tour boat to sightsee the Giant Buddha, and also climb up the mountain to have a close touch with it. You will be amazed not only by its great size but also by its architectural artistry. After lunch, you move on to Mount Emei, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You visit the ancient Baoguo Temple at the foot of the mountain. You will see its most famous historical relics, the 25-ton bronze Bell, well-known as the second-largest bell in China, and enjoy the bell's deep sound. These precious Buddhist cultural relics will bring you back to ancient time. Tonight you will stay in the hotel located at the foot of the Emei mountain.

Day 4 Leshan-Ya'an by Bus

Tour guide and driver pick you up from the hotel in the morning. You take the cable car up the mountain to visit the famous Wannian Temple. You will appreciate its three treasures, Beamless Hall, the bronze statue of Bodhisattva Puxian and the Buddha's tooth. Then you will carry the cable car down the mountain. After lunch, you head to Bifengxia Giant Panda Base which is the largest giant panda's park in the world and the best place to see pandas in the natural environment they inhabit. Tonight you reside in Ya'an.

Day 5 Ya'an-Chengdu by Bus
Bifengxia Giant Panda Base
Tour guide and driver pick you up from the hotel in the morning. You will be a volunteer at Bifengxia Giant Panda Base. You will work with experienced veterinarians to prepare food for pandas. You will clean the panda's living area and the young panda's play area, and remove waste and bamboo leaves to make a better environment for them. In addition to these activities you also have the chance to play with lovely panda cubs. For safety reasons, each volunteer will also be shadowed by a local staff member at all times. In the end, you will be issued a certificate in honor of your volunteering work at the base. This is really an impressive experience! Then go back to Chengdu. You will spend tonight at a hotel in Chengdu.
