In the morning, visit Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding for lovely pandas, it's their active time. Watch them playing, relaxing and eating and take some pictures for them, and you will also visit adorable baby pandas. After enjoying tasty Sichuan lunch, tour the Jinli Ancient Street, a popular commercial street where locals and travelers will explore local folk customs, various souvenirs and delicious snacks. At last, experience the leisure life at Chengdu Renmin Park where you can see them playing chess, drinking tea and cleaning the ears.

Day 3 Chengdu-Lhasa by Train
Leshan Giant Buddha
After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a relaxing drive to Leshan via expressway, fields of farmland and forest make you feel agreeable. Upon arrival in Leshan, start to visit this marvelous statue of Buddha in a sitting pose. Leshan Giant Buddha is carved out of the cliffs for a total of 71-meter height. When you see this colossal Buddha for the first time, you are feeling that travelers look like small ants when standing under the giant buddha. After enjoying the local palatable meal, drive back to Chengdu Railway Station and take the train to Lhasa. (Reference train: Z322, 21: 37pm-09:55 am on the third day)

Day 4 On the Train
When you wake up in the morning, you will pass the on of popular city-Lanzhou, the provincial capital of Gansu, enjoy the beautiful city views. Pass Xining in the afternoon, afterwards you’ll enter the land of Tibet, everything gradually changed as the train moving forward, fields of grassland, desert, bushes attracted your eyes along the way.

Day 5 Arrival in Lhasa
You will arrive at Lhasa Train Station in the morning, and your professional tour guide is waiting for you and will transfer you to the hotel. Have a relaxing rest for acclimatizing yourself to the high altitude, the air and temperature.

1. Please don't wash hair and take a shower on the first day in case of getting cold.
2. Try not to do strenuous exercise on the plateau, no alcohol and cigarettes.
3. Please bring sunglasses, sunscreen, hat, lip protector, warm jackets etc.

After breakfast, start your exciting Tibet tour from Potala Palace, the most recognized highest palace in the world, you will not only enjoy the splendid building and its interior decorations but also learn local Tibetan culture and history. After lunch, go for Jokhang Temple, the center of Tibetan Buddhism and the sacred land of Buddhist followers where thousands of pilgrims come for worshiping every day. Take a leisurely walk at nearby Barkhor Street, a big free market with its various stalls for selling local specialties.

Day 7 Lhasa
Norbulingka, Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery
After breakfast, meet your friendly tour guide and start to visit Norbulingka, the summer palace of Dalai Lama, you will enjoy grand mansions and various enchanting flowers. Later, visit Drepung Monastery, the sacred land of Gelug Sect and residence of the Dalai Lamas until the Great Fifth Dalai Lama constructed the Potala. You will be fully immersed in the culture and spirituality of Tibet as appreciating its beautiful carvings and exquisite artwork everywhere.
After lunch, take a relaxing drive to Sera Monastery, another great Gelug monastery in Tibet. You will get a close contact with Buddhism activities of monks debate around 3-5pm. After sightseeing, be transferred to the hotel.

Day 8 Lhasa-Gyantse-Shigatse by Private Vehicle
Yamdrok Lake, Pelkor Chode Monastery
Be picked up by your friendly tour guide and driver at Lhasa hotel then drive to Shigatse(370km). On the way cross the Gangba-la Pass, tour guide will spare enough time for you to enjoy holy Yamdrok Lake, stunning view of the huge cover blue lake and the snow-capped mountain. Continue to enjoy the Karola Glacier on the roadside, hang prayer flag at Simila Mountain Pass and Manak Dam Lake. After arrival at Gyantse, historically Tibet's third largest city (after Lhasa and Shigatse), you will enjoy delicious lunch and visit the famous Pelkor Chode Monastery which is famous for the ten thousand Buddhist figure, enjoy inside vivid paintings and Buddha statues. After visiting, drive to Shigatse and check in the hotel.

Day 9 Shigatse
Mount Everest, Rongbuk Monastery
After breakfast, drive to Mount Everest for 8 hours(350km). En route, you will get excited for the breathtaking view along the way. Make a stop at Jiawula Pass where is the perfect location to have an overview of the Himalayas for four snow mountains, all over 8,000 meters. Besides, you will take a stroll around the Rongbuk Monastery located 5,154 meters, the world’s highest monastery. It’s only 20km from the Mount Everest peak, so you will have a great chance to enjoy the astonishing Mount Everest and floating white clouds in the azure sky.
Kindly Note: It's a long journey today, please bring some high caloric snack food and warm coat.
Best travel time is from April to October.
Today you will reside at Rongbuk Guest House. The equipment is very simple and basic, providing beds, heated blankets and hot water. There is no running water, showers, private bathroom, please prepare according supplies on your own. But all these problems will be erased after travelers enjoying the starry sky at night, don’t forget to bring your camera to capture the beautiful views.

Mount Everest Sunrise
Get up early to enjoy the marvelous sunrise, the mist floating around Mount Everest, as the sunshine cast on the snow mountain, like ten thousand gold arrows shot through the sky, setting off the mountains and valleys plated on a layer of treasure light, very spectacular! Drive back to Shigatse and stay overnight.

Visit Tashilhunpo Monastery in the morning, one of the main Gelugpa monasteries in Tibet, it's the seat to the Panchen Lama, the second most important spiritual leader of Tibet. You will see this massive monastery's chapels and its ancient artifacts. After visiting, drive around 5 hours back to Lhasa.
