Liangjiang International Airport (KWL) is 28km away from Guilin City. More than 60 international and domestic routes are opened. All major domestic airlines have flights to Guilin. There are daily flights from major mainland cities and from Hong Kong, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Osaka, Seoul, Singapore and Taipei.Airport bus to town is ¥20, but drops just south of the city centre at the Aviation Hotel where you can find taxis waiting. From the airport, a Taxi should be around ¥100 to most hotels in the city center. Time to the city centre by taxi is roughly 40 minutes, by bus about 45 minutes. 

Guilin has Guilin Railway Station (commonly known as "Guilin Station") and Guilin North Railway Station, which the former is the main passenger station. You can take bus No.1 (6:00-22:30), No.32 (6:50-22:00) and No.100 (06:00-22:30) between the two train stations. Visitors to the Longji terraces can take the No. 1 bus to Qintan Bus Station.High-speed Railway and Guiguang High-speed Railway will connect Guilin with the national high-speed rail network. It will take 2 hours to Guangzhou, 10 hoursBeijing, 2 hours to Changsha, 2 hours to Guiyang. It is expanding to form a complete transportation network in Guilin, and Guilin will become an important transportation hub city in South China and Southwest China.

There are many taxis in Guilin, most of them are Jetta, Santana, and a few Fukang cars.Taxi fare:During the day (06:30-23:00): the starting price is 9 yuan, and after 2km, it is 1.9 yuan/km;At night (23:00-06:30): The starting price is 11 yuan, and after 2km, it is 2 yuan/km. You need to add 1 yuan for fuel charge.

The Li River runs through Guilin, so the traffic is mainly sightseeing cruises and bamboo rafts.
