Yulong River flows through some of the most beautiful Karst (limestone) scenery near Yangshuo. Local people use rafts as daily transportation up and down the river between house, markets, and rice paddies. Some villagers made bigger rafts and started to woo the travelers and soon it became a highlight of tour around Yangshuo.

Yulong River

The Yulong River

If you thought the Li River was drop-dead gorgeous,you ain't seen nothing yet.The scenery along this smaller,quieter river,about 4km southweat of Yangshuo,is simply breathtaking.There are a number of great swimming spots and countless exploring posibilities.Just rent a bike and get out there.

The Yulong River

One option is to aim for Dragon Bridge,about 10km upstream.This 600-year-old stone arched bridge is among Guangxi's largest and comes with higgledy-piggledy steps and sides that lean inwards with age.Locals say the water under the bridge is 7m deep.It is certainly a great spot for swim.Alternatively,take a bus to Jinbao and ask to get off the bridge,just after Baisha.

The Yulong River raft drifting is not a thrilling drift,because there are more than 20 farmers used to block irrigation dams, in the spring and summer, due to the large amount of water, most of the dam can be a Washed down, and some dam up to four or five meters, the dam when the "scare" the feeling really cool!
