Sun Island Park is located on the north bank of Songhuajiang River in Harbin, covering an area of 88 square kilometers. It is a national scenic spot, a national 5A tourist attraction, a national water conservancy scenic spot, a national wetland park and a national cultural industry demonstration base.

With the completion of the Middle East railway, Harbin gradually developed into an important commercial port during the 1920s. A large number of immigrants, especially Russian immigrants and Jewish immigrants, still follow the European lifestyle of taking vacations. 1.  Sun Island International Snow Sculpture Art Expo

As the birthplace of China's ice and snow sculpture art and leader of the international snow sculpture art, Harbin Sun Island International Snow Sculpture Art Expo is an important part of the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival and the highlight of Harbin winter tour. Millions of visitors were attracted by exquisite and fantastic snow and ice sculptures featuring different attractions and culture, and attended this fancy ice and snow carnival together. Besides, you will have eye feast of 3D light show, and engage in snow slide and riding on the ice.The snow expo begins from the end of December to February.

2. Ice and Snow Art Museum

It is the biggest indoor ice and snow art museum with more than 100 pieces of ice sculpture, and you still can see exquisite and skillful ice sculptures in spring, summer or autumn.

The indoor ice scene is made of natural ice and artificial snow of Songhua River. The ice lanterns and snow scenes on display have a wide range of themes, and the scenery is updated every year. It carved the most famous attractions in China even the world and built some fun facilities to cater to tourists, like ice slide and ice labyrinth.

3. Art Museum

The sun island art museum covers an area of 1,000 square meters. The museum has a collection of more than 1,000 pieces of Chinese paintings and calligraphy works, and two independent art studios. The museum is a multi-functional art exhibition hall with the main functions of art exhibition, aesthetic education, calligraphy and painting competitions, individual exhibitions, holding cultural activities and organizing artists' artistic creation.

4. Flower Garden

There are more than 200,000 rare and precious flowers of the north of China with 39 varieties and 12 hues covering an area of 2.8 hectares, including peonies and peonies etc. And the flowers are divided into 12 flower gardens according to the zodiac, with different colors of flowers planted according to different themes.

5. Deer and Squirrel Land

There are more than 30 sika deer and 1600 squirrels in the park. The beautiful sika deer and squirrels roam freely on the shallow grass slope and play with the visitors.

6. Swan Lake

The lake covers an area of 1.2 hectares, where there are black swans, whooper swans, white swans, mallard ducks, gray geese and other natatores.
